Our Story
Retain The Earth began in 2009 as a small family business supplying concrete products through distributors. Over the years, we’ve learned a great deal from manufacturing our products and from the people who install them. We’ve continued to refine our methods, with a focus on making products that are straight, consistent and finished with care.
In October 2025, we moved our factory to Edinburgh North and began supplying directly to tradespeople and DIY installers. Selling direct lets us work more closely with our customers and pass on savings where we can, even as manufacturing costs rise.
We remain a family business, and customer service is still our number one priority. We believe quality matters more than quantity. That’s why we pay attention to the details of every product we make: when we do our job well at the factory, installers have a better product to work with on site.
After many years of improving the way we manufacture, we’re proud to share our products directly with the people who use them.
Vito’s part in our story
Vito Loparco, originally from Italy, has been a huge part of the Retain The Earth journey. His contribution has helped shape the business and the way we approach our work. We’re proud to include him in our story and to share what we’ve built together.
MADE WITH INSTALLERS IN MIND
Quality in every detail
Our 60 MPa reinforced concrete sleepers are manufactured to AS 3600. We focus on straight, consistent dimensions and a clean finish.
Direct from our factory
We manufacture in Edinburgh North and supply directly to trade customers and DIY installers.

Visit our factory and trade centre at 31 Bellchambers Road, Edinburgh North. We’re open Monday to Friday, 7 am to 3 pm, and you don’t need an appointment. We’re happy to talk through your project and help you choose what you need.
